We speak all of the languages of Business
Financial Planning
Creating the numbers is the accountants job. Using the numbers to plan for growth, achieve proper financing, guide all levels of management, and prepare leaders for communicating with stakeholders is the area of finance we have the most expertise in. GLSB has more than 30 years creating the devices that explain businesses to everyone who needs to understand them. From daily Key Performance Indicators to Monthly Reports to Board Reports, GLSB has created them in formats that are easy to understand and made relevant to the needs of an individual business.
Mergers and Acquisitions
In the last twenty years, as both a principal and consultant, Buddy has participated in more than 15 transactions. From buying and selling his own business, to consulting on the sale of a private company to a public company, to a "roll up" strategy by a Private Equity firm, to sourcing and closing a sale. GLSB can prepare your company for sale, prepare the marketing materials for your company to be sold (or invested in,) source potential acquirers/investors, help the acquirer fund the purchase, and work with lawyers and bankers to close the deal.
International
As a country, we've always been traders and Buddy has both bought and sold on three continents. Working as a buyer of finished in Japan, China, and Taiwan since 1989, Buddy pioneered the purchase of goods for the companies he worked for. Working with a Mexican partner, Buddy opened a business in Puebla, Mexico in 1990. As a business owner, Buddy sold products to many Mexican companies along the US border from Tijuana to Brownsville. As a corporate leader, Buddy mastered the Canadian systems to help operate a Canadian subsidiary of an American Company.
Advisory Boards
Buddy has served on Advisory and Commercial Boards. The most value Buddy received was as the CEO of a family owned business with an Advisory Board composed of business leaders who were friends of the owner. This group of people created the environment and expectations that management would know, understand, and know how to explain the business. Using this experience, Buddy led the creation of and participated in many more utilizing his skills to manage an Advisory Board and his huge network.

Network
As a manager, leader, principal and consultant with a long and varied career, Buddy has worked with many interesting and successful people. Need a good _______, Buddy has worked with them. For one client, Buddy has provided a Marketing person, manufacturing person, and product development person. That's in 18 months.
Financing
As a principal and as a consultant, Buddy has raised hundreds of millions of dollars in debt and financing. GLSB can recommend capital structures, find participating lenders, create and provide due diligence materials, and close the deal. In the last two years alone, Buddy has closed more than $10 million in transactions.
Enterprise REsource Planning (ERP)
Each time Buddy is presented with an opportunity to implement a new ERP system as Project Champion, he says this will be the last time. Buddy is now working on his fourth (or is it fifth?) This gigantic investment for any company always comes during another "Danger Zone." Growing companies find themselves with multiple needs at multiple times and often lack sufficient resources. Companies don't just need a company to buy software and hardware from, they need someone to talk to who has done it before. Buddy has done it before as a Principal at least three times.
BUSINESS STRATEGY
Buddy's second job at the Pacific Telephone division of AT&T was to write the company's first business plan. Trained by the consultants at the Boston Consulting Group and professors at Harvard Business School's training group, Buddy worked with corporate leaders at Pacific Telephone for two years taking a concept to reality. Buddy's used those skills in every business he's worked in. Every company requires both short term plans and long term plans and contingency plans. You just never know what is going to happen. GLSB will help you identify what could happen.
